Yes, a visa is required for your trip to Brazil.

Citizens of must obtain a visa in advance. You have to apply for visa through a Brazil diplomatic mission or one of its authorized visa agents outside Brazil. Brazil introduced electronic visas for 4 countries (Australia, Canada, Japan and United States) in January 2018. The e-Visa for Brazil is issued for tourism and business purposes only with a maximum stay of 90 days per year. There are some pending waiver agreements signed by Brazil with 2 nationals : Dominican Republic- e-Visa for 60 days, extended upto 120 days per one year, for tourism and business purposes only and Moldova- e-Visa for 90 days with validity of 6 months for tourism and business purposes only.

Documents Required for Brazilian eVisa Online / Visa on arrival / ETA / Invite letters

1- A recent digital photograph of the applicant.

 

2- Scanned color copies of your passport with minimum validity of up to 6 months.

 

Requirements for Minors-

1- Upload a color scan of passport bio page of both parents.

2- An authorization letter signed by both parents.

3- A copy of birth certificate

4- A justification letter that demonstrate why only one parent or one legal guardian is authorizing and not both along with bio page and photo (if only one parent is responsible)

Entry Requirements for Brazilian eVisa

1- Only Regular Passport holders can apply for Brazil e-Visa.

2- Currently only citizens of Australia, Canada, United States and Japan are eligible to apply for Brazil e-Visa.

3- The validity of e-Visa is for 2 years with maximum stay limit of 20 days per year.

4- The tourist e-Visa is issued only if the purpose of your visit in Brazil is tourism.

5- If a child whose parents are Brazilian citizens require a visa, he/she needs to fill and submit the "non-citizenship declaration" form.

6- You will be required to show your birth certificate as a proof of your identity. If father’s name as on the certificate does not match with your passport, you will have to show your driving license or your marriage contract as a proof of your identity.

7- Your passport must have validity for at least 1 month from the date of your visa application. You will be required to renew or reapply for your passport if the validity is less than 1 month.
