Myanmar

On September 2014, Myanmar Government announced its e-Visa system for tourism. It allows a maximum stay limit of up to 28 days.The list of the eligible countries was first expanded in October 2014 and then further expanded In January 2015, the Business e-Visa was also introduced. The Business e-Visa offers maximum stay limit of 70 days. Myanmar offers visa-free entry to 8 countries for up to 14 days for both tourism and business trips. In June 2018, Myanmar announced visa-free entry to the citizens of Japan and South Korea as well as visa on arrival to the citizens of China.

Documents Required for myanmar eVisa Online / Visa on arrival / ETA / Invite letters

1- A recent digital photograph of the applicant.

2- Scanned color copies of your passport with minimum validity of up to 6 months.

3- Copy of your Return or onward journey flight tickets.

Entry Requirements for myanmar eVisa

1- The validity of the Myanmar e-Visa is for 90 days from the date of issue.

2- The visa granted for single entry tourist visa has the maximum stay limit for up to 28 days.

3- British citizens along with other EU citizens are eligible for business/tourist e-visa. All other classes of British nationality are eligible for tourist e-visa only.

4- You can ONLY enter Myanmar through Yangon International Airport, Mandalay International Airport or Nap Pyi Taw International Airport.

5- If you are entering in Myanmar through land, then you must enter through Tachileik Checkpoint, Myawaddy checkpoint or Kawthaung checkpoint.

 

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR MINORS:

1- Parents must apply separately for the children over 7 years old or those who already have an individual passport.

2- Children under 7 years old can travel to Myanmar without the need for an individual eVisa if they meet the following requirements:

(a) The child must be accompanied by the parent/guardian.

(b) The child must be included in the parent/guardian’s passport.

(c) The details of the child must be included in the parent/guardian’s eVisa.
