As of April 2018, passport holders of 46 specified countries may apply for Ukraine’s electronic visa (e-Visa). E-Visas are issued by the MFA of Ukraine as single entry Tourist or Business visas and are valid for up to 30 days. The e-Visa system is an online method of applying for visas for entry from anywhere in the world. Some advantages of this system to the traveler are that visas can be applied for quickly over the Internet at any time, from any location and payment is made online at the time of the visa application. Travelers will receive the Ukraine e-Visa via email. We recommend printing the e-Visa as you must show the document upon entry and have it with you for the duration of your stay.

Visa Requirements

To get a Ukraine visa, you need to fulfill the following requirements:

  • A valid passport, and make sure it must be of an eligible country
  • A credit card or debit card is a must to pay for your visa fee
  • A valid email address where you can be updated about visa processing
  • Your health insurance is also required for visa
  • You are required to have a return airline ticket for sure
  • Your hotel booking must be confirmed while issuing for visa
  • If you are applying for a tourist visa, an agreement is required for tourism services

E-visa Types

Business e-visa

To get a business e-visa for Ukraine you need to take a look at the following instructions:

  • You must have an invitation letter or a business letter provided by the respective company, organization, or enterprise to prove your business trip
  • A letter from your employer or sponsor which confirms that your expenses are being covered 

Tourist e-visa

For obtaining a Ukrainian tourist e-visa, the following documents are required:

  • You are required to attach a voucher or agreement from tourist services
  • A document is required which states your hotel booking and its expense accommodation
  • A letter from the inviting party is also required which states the commitment of all the expense of the traveler’s stay
  • If you intend to stay with your relatives or any friend in the country you must provide a valid invitation letter containing their full name and information

Educational e-visa

Educational e-visa requires you to submit the documents mentioned below:

  • Official bank notice is required that confirms complete payment for tuition fee
  • Legal certificates of all the educational record must be attached along with visa
  • A medical health certificate if the student is required
  • An invitation letter/application from the respective institution of Ukraine is must 

Family e-visa

If you intend to have a Ukrainian family e-visa, you are required to submit the following documents:

  • Proof of some important certificates which may include a marriage certificate for spouses and a birth certificate in case of a children’s visa
  • A copy of your family member’s passport is required 
  • A copy of your family member’s residence permit holder (if they possess

Medical e-visa

The following requirements are necessary to be fulfilled in order to obtain a Ukrainian medical e-visa:

  • You must have a recommendation letter from a known doctor/health institute from your country
  • All of the medical history and records of the patient are required
  • An acceptance letter from the medical center of Ukraine is required to prove that the patient is going to get the treatment

Validity

This visa is valid for almost 30 days right after your arrival. Passport validity is ensured for up to six months starting from your arrival.

Document Requirements for Ukraine Tourist Visa 

If the reason you are applying for a Ukraine visa is tourism or a private visit, then you need the following documents:

  • A valid passport
  • Passport size photos
  • Details about your itinerary
  • Proof of hotel bookings, flight bookings
  • Copy of tour ticket
  • A cover letter with all the required details about your itinerary
  • Statement from your bank to prove you have enough finances to fund your visit
  • Income tax statements of last three years
  • Travel insurance

Additional Document Requirements for Ukraine Business Visa 

If you are applying for a Ukraine Business Visa, you need the following additional documents:

  • Letter of invitation from the company/organization you are going to meet in Ukraine. The letter must be written on the official letterhead of the company and contain the company’s Unified State Registry number as well as details about you and your trip
  • Letter from your employer or sponsor confirming they will cover your expenses (if applicable)

1- Photo Specification

  • There is a need for applicant digital photo.
  • Taken with color in front of white or off white background. And taken within 6 months. Don’t need any border for any design.
  • Should be captured full face on the camera. 
  • Sized such that should be 3MB not more than and  in JPG,PDF,. 
  • Size of Passport : not more than 3 MB.
  • Passport copy should be clear and colored 
  • It should be in PDF, JPG or PNG format 
  • Properly open eyes
  • your photo should look clear and clean and do not leave any shadow on your face.
  • Spectacles don’t cover their eyes.

2- Scanned color copies of your passport.

  • Must have a valid passport from one of the eligible countries
  • Applicant passport is valid for at least 6 (Six) months from the date of arrival.

4- Pay the Ukraine e-visa fee with a valid credit or debit card

5- Provide a current email address at which to receive the approved Ukraine online visa.

1- The Ukraine e-Visa is a single entry visa and has a validity of 30 consecutive days upon arrival.

2- You can stay in Ukraine for a maximum of 30 days.

3- Your passport should be valid for at least six months from your arrival date.

4- You should apply at least 10 days prior to your trip.

5- In the applicant is a minor or a disabled person, the e-Visa application shall be submitted by a parent or legal guardian. A separate e-Visa application needs to be submitted for each person.

6- The e-Visa can be used at all entry border checkpoints in Ukraine.

7- Upon arrival and departure, you will be asked to present your e-Visa, along with all the documents specified above. You must keep a copy of the e-Visa with you for the duration of your trip.

Requirements

Documents that you are required to attach are mentioned as follows:

  • Valid passport
  • Visa application form
  • One colored photograph with 35mm x 45mm measurements
  • Valid health insurance with coverage of at least 30,000 EUR or equivalent according to your own country’s currency
  • Proof of sufficient finance to stay in the country
  • Letter of invitation or agreement for business or tourist purposes
  • In case you are applying a visa for long term visa to stay with your spouse, you must attach your marriage certificate which states that you are married to a Ukrainian citizen

Urgent application

At the request of the traveler/foreigner, it is possible to avail the service of urgent visa application which will take 5 working days in total to process your visa. The application has to pay double the fee for his urgent visa processing.

Visa expired

Ukrainian visa for a single entry is valid for 30 days starting from your arrival. After this duration, your visa will expire and you would not be able to stay in the country. If your visa gets expired and you stay in the country anyway then you will have to pay a fine for whatever gets charged on you. You immediately need to apply for a visa extension as it gets expired. 

Do I need a visa for Ukraine?

Here are different scenarios of whether you need to have a visa for Ukraine or not. For instance, you do not need to have a Ukraine visa for tourism if your trip is for about 90 days. But in this case, you have to provide proof of your health insurance and sufficient finances for your stay. Other than this condition you are required to have your Ukraine visa to stay in the country.

Cost

Visa fees for different situations may vary. If you are applying for a regular/ordinary visa, you will have to pay 65 US dollars and your visa will be provided to you within 10 days in total. In case of emergency or urgency, you can have your visa within 5 days but your fee will be doubled. For an urgent visa, you will have to pay 130 US dollars. Children under 6 years of age would not be charged any visa fee.
