Ethiopian E-Visa

Travelers can now apply for Ethiopian e-Visa as a single-entry travel document online. All nationals from other countries are mandatory to have a valid visa to enter Ethiopia. Note that minors must have their e-visa upon entry. Immigration officers at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport will review it upon arrival. E-Visa will expire once a traveler leaves Ethiopia regardless of the days they get to use out of the approved period.

All applicants could choose either a 30-day or 90-day period of stay. Entering other ports is strictly prohibited.

If the travelers need a multiple-entry e-Visa, they have to visit an Ethiopian Embassy. They must follow the traditional application for Visa.

If travelers need to extend their stay, they can apply online for a new e-visa during their stay in the country. They can also go to immigration a week before the expiration date of their visa. Overstaying may have corresponding consequences such as paying fines, being deported, or banned from future travel to Ethiopia.

Requirements To Get Ethiopian E-Visa

• Eligible travelers must have a passport with at least six months validity upon the date of arrival in Ethiopia

• A valid debit or credit card for e-Visa online payment upon registration

• Active email address

• Copy of passport information

• Recent passport-type photograph

• Certificates of vaccination (depending on nationality)

Procedure Of The Ethiopian E-Visa Application

Applicants must fill out each section and ensure that all personal and passport information is correct and up-to-date. Kindly go through all the details in compliance with the current restriction and guidelines upon entry. In rare instances, inaccurate information or typographical errors in submitted documents may delay the completion process.
