COVAX AMC: As of 19 Dec, 2 Billion donor-funded vaccines by mind 2021 to the 92 low- and middle-income economies eligible countries which cover up to 20% population by the end of the year.

Who will get the vaccine first?

There are certain chances that the paramedics and healthcare staff will get the vaccine first. The safety of the experts, scientists, doctors and researchers is a top priority to accelerate the wave of safety towards the mass population of the whole world and specific countries.

The people of the country in which the vaccine will be manufactured will be served first. Dr. Anthony Fauci, the top US infectious disease expert said that we will certainly be able to produce vaccines at the start of 2021.

But after the vaccine, the greatest problem will be the distribution to the most needed people. For this US official announced to make a tiered system to export the vaccine to the most affected people from the COVID-19.

AstraZeneca has agreed to send 1 billion vaccine dosage in cooperation with India's Serum Institute.

The vaccine struggle in parallel is at a peak in Beijing, Britain and the US, to ensure the availability of the abundant amount of COVID-19 vaccine.

The players of the COVID-19 vaccine are myriads and they are spending millions of dollars to produce effective and workable vaccines to cure the maximum patient's in the least amount of time.

  • Governments

The public health organization always has played a major role in the manufacturing of vaccines. The administration of the United States has launched a project named operation Warp Speed which is aimed to develop a highly effective vaccine at the start of 2021 for its 300 million US citizens.

This operation is promising to spend billions of dollars and is gathering a community of researchers from the national institute of health (NIH), the food and drug administration (FDA), the department of health and human services (NHS), the department of defense and world health organization.

On the same page, the Chinese government is funding and building infrastructure to provide as many facilities to study and manufacture the vaccine as possible. The European Commission is funding several candidates to find the vaccine in the shortest time possible. In a virtual summit attended by the world leaders, organizations and European leaders, the banks show their commitment to spend at least $8 billion for the research on the vaccine.

  • International Institutions

The international institution is acting as a central role in the production of the COVID-19 vaccine, its fair and easy distribution to billions of people across the globe and its authentic trial testing to analyze its effectiveness before its usage.

The world health organization and other international platforms such as the world bank are providing financial support to continue the research on the COVID-19 vaccine.

The coalition for Epidemic preparedness innovations (CIPI) is a global alliance of India, Norway, the Bill and Melinda Gates foundations, the world economic forum, the UK based Wellcome Trust, the Gavi vaccine alliance also founded by the Gates foundation are harnessing their effort to manufacture, to destitute, and it’s manufacturing in the shortest time possible.

In June 2020 the CEPI, WHO, and Gavi launched COVAX, a global financial, intellectual, and deliberate effort to prepare, distribute, and make sure the availability of COVID-19 vaccine for every patient on the surface of the earth.

The global efforts COVAX to manufacture the vaccine have pledged to spend $18 billion to produce two billion doses of vaccine by the end of the next year, 2021.

By October 2020 about 170 countries had joined the COVAX with the absence of the United States and Russia.

  • Private sector

The private sector is spending all available resources to prepare a great COVID-19 vaccine. The pharmaceutical companies, the biotech firms such as Sino pharm, a China-based biotech company, and Johnson & Johnson are harnessing their research on the COVID-19 vaccine. Though there is funding from the government institutions also but the bulk financial support comes from the private institutes.

  • Research institutions and nonprofit organizations

When we talk about the nonprofit organization the Malinda gates foundation is the flagbearer of the global effort against the COVID-19 and to prepare the vaccines by all means possible in this world.

The research institutes are mainly used for the pre-clinical trials to check the working efficiency of the vaccine. By fortune before the advent of the COVID-19, there were students at Cambridge University who were analyzing the possible vaccine which can prevent future outbreaks and can eradicate them.

Development stages of the COVID-19 Vaccine and its distribution

There is a massive investment in the research and enthusiastic finding of the vaccine which can work to make the patients healthy and can save their lives.

In most cases, there are 6 fundamental stages for the vaccine from preparation to distribution such as;

  • Research
  • Preclinical Preparation
  • Clinical Trials
  • Approval
  • Manufacturing
  • Distribution

The first and foremost important phase of vaccine production is the research phase. Major institutes such as Harvard, Cambridge, and MIT are forming a coalition to drive a collective research effort to find a perfect cure.

After initial daunting research of the vaccine, there are preclinical trials that ensure that the manufactured vaccine is working or not. If the trials go successful then there is the approval to manufacture the vaccine on a mass scale to help humanity out of this disaster. If people get sick and don’t show a possible improvement in their health the trials go fails and the research again gets started to find something effective.

The distribution phase is the distribution of the vaccine across the globe to all the infected people on the surface of the earth to cure them and to protect the healthy people against this virus.

  • How does a COVID-19 vaccine work?

Vaccines are the dead or weakened virus cells known as antigens. They when injected into the body trigger the defensive white blood cells in the immune system to create antibodies against the pathogens. These antibodies create massive action against the viruses and build a wall against them to neutralize them.

There are different types of vaccines which used to create antibodies in one way or the other. When most of the population will be vaccinated against a particular disease then most of the population will be protected against the disease, even at the stake of those who are not immune. This is known as herd immunity when large swamps of the population are safe from the virus.

The United States of America in case of measles, polio, chickenpox, and mumps was able to achieve herd immunity.

In the case of the COVID-19 vaccine, scientists are working to find a vaccine, which can protect the majority of humanity to achieve herd immunity. The estimates are highlighting that to achieve herd immunity the eighty percent of the population of the world has been duly vaccinated.

  • Who manufactured the COVID-19 Vaccine?

There was lots of stress upon the world health organization, the leading Malinda Gates organization, and other international collateral COVAX for the manufacturing of the COVID-19 vaccine.

The feat of manufacturing the COVID-19 vaccine was achieved in November by the Pfizer/bioNtech company based in the United States.

    There are more companies which are taking random trails of their samples such as;

    • The vaccine manufactured by the Pfizer/bioNtech company takes 43,500 test trials in six countries with no health concern. After the second dose of the vaccine, the data shows that 90% of the people who got their vaccine show a robust and energetic immune system against the dangers of the COVID-19 virus.
    • The pharmaceutical company named AstraZeneca with the collaboration of Oxford University has manufactured the vaccines with astonishing results. The first trial upon the people showed that 70% of the people stop developing COVID-19 symptoms after taking the vaccine. The researches show that a little bit of tinkering with the chemistry of the vaccine will enhance the results of up to 90%.
    • The pharmaceutical biotech company modern shows stunning results with the 94.5% recovery of the patient who took the vaccine. The single impetus of the Pfizer/bioNteech pharmaceutical company has generated a ripple effect that will stop after the eradication of the virus from the whole world.

The United Kingdom (UK) is the first country to get the COVID-19 vaccine

The question to get a vaccine is intriguing, alarming, and concerning. But there’s no point to take any tension. Because it all depends upon the location and the readiness of financial resources of each nation on the surface of the earth.

The United Kingdom has become the first nation to get the vaccine manufactured from the Pfizer and German bioNtech pharmaceutical company.

There were three meticulous trials of the COVID-19 vaccine. In the third trial, the COVID-19 vaccine shows an auspicious result of recovering 95% of the patients of the COVID-19 who were vaccinated. It was a breakthrough in such a short time.

The United Kingdom breaks the nostalgia of making the vaccine for the COVID-19 which has killed around 1.5 million people across the world. This feat places the United Kingdom ahead of the European Union and the United States.

After the vaccine was manufactured in the United Kingdom the biggest challenge for the government was its fair and equal distribution. To tackle this conundrum, they have devised a priority list in which the home residents, elders, and health workers are the first to get treatment of the COVID-19.

The UK after getting the vaccine from Pfizer has ordered the other round 2 billion doses from the AstraZeneca pharmaceutical company.

After the UK the American nation, other European states, and China will be the ones to get the vaccine.

The UK government has prioritized the order for Covid-19 vaccines as...

  1. Residents in care homes for older adults and their caregivers
  2. All those 80 years old and over.
Frontline health and social care workers
  3. All those 75 and over
  4. All those 70 and over.
    Clinically extremely vulnérable individuals
  1. All those 65 and over
  2. All individuals aged 16-64 with underlying health conditions which put them at higher risk of serious disease and mortality
  3. All those 60 and over
  4. All those 55 and over
  5. All those 50 and over

FAQs

There are uncertainties about the vaccine’s effectiveness in curing the victims of the COVID-19. The UNESCO and the WHO are showing grave concerns over the vaccine. There are chances of mutations that can damage the other cells of the immune system.

To take these concerns into considerations that leading health organizations are enforcing the trials and tests to measure the efficacy of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Once the results would show promising results then it’s easy to vaccinate the mass population in the entire globe confidently.

Though there are paramedics staff overseeing the efficacy of the COVID-19 vaccine still the WHO has appointed its medical staff in each country where the vaccine will be distributed to avert the possible side effects of the COVID-19 vaccine.

There are various COVID-19 vaccine conspiracy theories which arise in recent months to halt the vaccination process.

The world is growing at a fast pace more than ever as compared to the past progress of humanity. The glaring technological and infrastructural development gives rise to certain theories.

The 21st century is the a world of wonder where gene editing, cyborg manufacturing, and intense research on human consciousness and brain neurons are underway.

  • An article published in the New York Times indicated that there is a specific gene in the human body that enabled the behaviours of billions of people on theist religions to believe in the mastermind of all creations.
This gives rise to the conspiracy theory about the COVID-19 vaccine that it can change the gene or can edit it to change the fundamental principle of billions of people on planet earth to not believe in the Omnipotent GOD.
This has caused the provocation of the religious zealots to libel the true motive of the COVID-19 vaccine and its true motivation to get rid of humanity from the disaster.
  • Then we all using the 4G internet technology that is pervasive in the world. But in recent months there was a heavy investment in the development of the 5G internet which can enable the dreams of the virtual world into reality.
Some research studies indicated that the 5G technology can potentially suspend the gas particles in the air and can obstruct their free movement that can make networks of oxygen in different spaces.
The restriction to free movement can cause suffocation and difficulty in inhaling and exhaling the air because of the impediments.
The COVID-19 is all about lung problems, breathing problems and lung infection. This research gives rise to the conspiracy theory that the melodrama of the COVID-19 is an intentional deviation to distract the attention of the masses from the 5G that was launched during the lockdown in the space.

Now after the sustained threat of the COVID-19, the people are believing in the efficacy of the vaccine as the first trial of the Pfizer and the BioNtech company of Germany has gained 90 percent recovery of the victims of the COVID-19.

The confusion and uncertainty beget life loss in the case of the COVID-19. The relentless research and the ceaseless trials of the vaccine are showing a peculiar behaviour of the COVID-19.

The World Health Organization's (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus says that the virus is not showing the same behaviour all over the world.

There are strong possibilities coming out from the recent findings that the virus can be tamed with the existing tools that have been provided by the world health organization WHO. The indispensable availability of the vaccine is solely depending upon the region, its environment, the immunity of people, the infrastructural design and health care facilities. WHO’s director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus is enforcing on relying on the local tools.

Whenever humanity had achieved a feat there were doubts and unmitigated speculations about the long-lasting effects. The COVID-19 is no exception. After when Pfizer made the first vaccine to confront and eliminate the coronavirus there are now concerns that whether it has the potential to eradicate the virus or not?

After initial trials in the UK by the Pfizer vaccines and the trials by the AstraZeneca pharmaceutical company shows optimistic and encouraging results that had led to another concern that It's now sure that the vaccine has the potential to cure 90% of patients but will all the population get the vaccination?

The group of 20 (G20) has pledged to remove this concern of masses. It has committed to distributing the vaccine across the globe at fair prices with widespread and easy accessibility. There is even now possible that the vaccine can ignite a new type of confrontation on the international forum over the vaccine bidding.

Due to stunning mysterious theories about the coronavirus, some people are even reluctant to get a coronavirus vaccine. A September poll by the pew research institute shows that half of the Americans surveyed said that they wouldn’t take the vaccine if it were present at that time. Though now people are understanding the severity of the situation.

The concerns about the effectiveness of the vaccine will remain until people get the vaccine. In that condition only is the possibility to cure all psychological concerns of the people.

The scientists are saying that uncovering facts about the virus and the effectiveness of the vaccine will further assist us to manufacture a more robust vaccine to eliminate the virus.

Once the world will attain herd immunity as in the case of pervasive coronavirus it has achieved already then there will be no concern about the outbreak.

Until we achieve herd immunity, we have to take care of and follow the guidelines from the CDC and the world health organization diligently.

The promising results of the COVID-19 vaccine and its effectiveness in mitigating the COVID-19 from the victims are ambitious.

The future is not bleak, and but all prospects of the COVID-19 vaccine are not auspicious. What is alarming is the demand.

There is a crucial need for the COVID-19 vaccine all over the world with a safe and reliable supply and large reservoirs of the COVID-19 vaccine.

The proactive and alert staff needed to contain any further outbreak of the COVID-19. The vaccines can cure, can eliminate the virus but the mutation and side effects can also rise. To quell all these problems a cautious and adept staff is necessary to oversee all these developments under the shadow of the COVID-19 vaccine.

To perform all the processes seamlessly and flexibly there is a dire need to supply the nurses and caregiver staff in the hospital to vaccinate the avalanche of people.

Once the WHO and other leading figures will be able to build the trust, the large supply chain, the protective reservoirs of the vaccine, and the open and easy availability to the people then the herd immunity will be achieved to annihilate the COVID-19.

  • UK New Coronavirus Variant

When the world was beginning to think that respite might have come finally, with high hope that the COVID-19 pandemic which dominated a good part of the year 2020 would be less brutish in the coming year, thanks to the ongoing vaccine deployment, then news broke.

It is now confirmed that the coronavirus might have mutated. There is now a new strain of Sars-CoV-2 in town. The PHE had released a preliminary report of its findings which confirmed that this particular strain is being more rapidly transmitted than the initial one. They, however, cannot say yet how deadly this new one is, compared to the former.

  • What makes it different?

This new Sars-Cov-2 is also referred to as (Variant Under Investigation) VUI 202012/01. It was identified by COVID-19 genomics UK (COG-UK). It is an offshoot of multiple mutations of the single RNA Sars-Cov-2 virus. The faster transmission rate is being made possible due to the spike protein found around VUI that binds it to the ACE2 receptor in the human cell.

  • Cases of the new virus

Other than the UK, several other countries in Europe; Denmark, Netherlands and Australia have corroborated the reports emanating from the UK. Italy and a few more countries have also confirmed that they have recorded cases of this new COVID-19 variant in their countries.

  • Any link between this new strain and the recent covid-19 vaccine inoculation program?

Neither the WHO nor the Public Health England (PHE) has been able to establish any connection between the recent ongoing vaccination program and the new virus strain. They are rather optimistic that the vaccine already out there will work against the new variant of coronavirus. This is according to Prof Chris Whitty – England’s medical chief.

  • The resulting precautions by the UK and other countries around the world. Travel restrictions, new lockdown measures

The UK has imposed a new and much tighter restriction in south-east England to avoid large scale spreading of the virus among its populace. During the week also, some other countries around the world announced a temporal closure of their air space and land borders to inbound flight from the UK. A few other countries like India, however, will in the meantime be restricting both inbound and outbound flights connecting them to the United Kingdom.

Lockdown and other measures are being announced by countries, in the wake of this new reality and with the Christmas and New Year festivity around the corner. The World Health Organization (WHO) also earlier in the week said they are in ‘close contact’ with the UK, keeping tabs on the latest development as it concerns this new coronavirus strain.
